The official site has moved to an XLGAMES domain
Between 31 August and 3 September 2026, the official website changed address: the Kakao Games domain now redirects permanently to a domain owned by the developer, XLGAMES. The Steam listing was updated to match.
What changed, measured
The old address, archeagechronicles.kakaogames.com, answers with an HTTP 301 — a permanent redirect — to archeagechronicles.xlgames.com. On 31 August 2026 the same address still served the site itself. A 301 is the strongest signal a site can send that an address is retired for good.
The Steam store listing followed: its website field, read by script on 3 September 2026, now points at the XLGAMES domain where it pointed at the Kakao Games one four days earlier.

The new site is not the old one
The old site was a single teaser page with no sections. The new one carries a navigation — HOME, GALLERY, NEWS, WISHLIST & SOCIAL — an English and a Korean version, and a gallery of nine items. It is the first time this game has had a news section of its own rather than relying on Steam announcements.
The footer changed too: it now reads “Copyright © XLGAMES Inc. All rights reserved.” The legal line carried on the store listings still names both companies — “Copyright © Kakao Games Corp. © XLGAMES Inc.” — so the two do not say the same thing today.
What this does not prove
The store listings differ: Steam names XLGAMES as publisher, as it already did in our 3 September capture, while Xbox, PlayStation and Epic still name Kakao Games Corp. when rechecked on 5 September. The website move alone does not explain the difference or establish a change of publisher across all platforms.
What it does mean, practically, is that the place to watch for official news has changed, and that this site now follows the new address. We will report an announcement if one comes; we will not read one into a redirect.
