XLGAMES starts a weekly prequel series — Ten Years Before AAC
This is the first sustained storytelling campaign the studio has run since the lore posts of 2025, and it is a weekly commitment — which matters for a game that has gone quiet for months at a time.

What was announced
The framing post: “Ten years before your story in AAC begins, a story was already unfolding. Over the coming weeks, we’ll share short stories from that time. Stories of people, secrets, and events whose traces still remain in the world of AAC.”
Episode 1, The Nameless Man, followed the same day: “Billy wakes with no memory in a fog-shrouded slum. All he has is one broken image: a shadow asking, quietly, ‘Is Emrik dead?’ He doesn’t know who Emrik is. But someone out there already wants him dead for it.”

Why it is worth following
Two names enter the lore with this post — Billy and Emrik — and neither has appeared in the earlier official material reviewed here. A weekly series adds a regular storytelling format alongside the studio’s gameplay and class publications.
This page is updated as episodes are published, and each new named character enters our catalogue with its source.
