Our method

Three levels, a short list of sources, and a longer list of things this site refuses to publish.

Last verified · 2026-08-31

The three levels

Every claim on this site carries one of these three badges. The badge says where the claim comes from, not whether we believe it.

Confirmed

Stated by the developers or the publisher

XLGAMES or Kakao Games said it themselves, in a channel we can link to: the official site, the Steam page and its announcements, a developer blog or Discord post, a PlayStation Blog article signed by the studio, or Kakao Games’ quarterly investor materials.

Example · The Q4 2026 window, in a Kakao Games earnings slide dated 5 August 2026.
Reported

Published by a named outlet, on a named date

An interview, a hands-on or a report attributes the claim to the studio, but no official channel has published it. We name the outlet and link it. We attribute it; we do not upgrade it.

Example · A Steam early access, said aloud and relayed by the press — never written by the studio.
Unconfirmed

Circulating without a traceable source

Expected, rumoured, or carried over from the first ArcheAge. Listed only when the claim circulates widely enough that its status needs stating — and never presented as fact.

Example · A system everyone assumes will return because it existed in ArcheAge.

A claim moves from reported to confirmed the day an official channel states it, and that date is recorded on the page. It never moves the other way in silence: if a source is withdrawn, the entry says so, dated.

Where sources come from

The channels behind the statuses above:

  1. XLGAMES: its official site, developer notes, videos and official accounts.
  2. Official storefronts and their announcements, with each listing named separately.
  3. Kakao Games: its official statements and quarterly investor materials.
  4. Named media outlets: interviews, hands-on previews and reports, always attributed and linked.

What we never publish

  • A release date, a countdown or an estimate that no official channel has given.
  • Numbers the studio has not published — damage values, percentages, tier lists.
  • A storefront placeholder date presented as a real one.
  • Our opinion presented as fact. Analysis is always labelled as analysis.
  • Leaks, datamined files, or footage from tests held under non-disclosure.

Dates, and re-checking

Every page shows the date it was last verified. When ArcheAge Chronicles becomes playable, every pre-release page is re-checked against the game itself.

Corrections

Errors are corrected on the page concerned, and the correction is dated. If you find one, write to contact@archeagechroniclesguide.com with the page and the source.
